2026 Presidents Cup

The aim of the GWG presidents cup is to build stronger relationships between the leadership and key roles at the clubs in West Gippsland.  In recent years we have been working more closely together, and we wish to strengthen and grow relationships, especially at a board or strategic level.

Whilst clubs do, to some extent, compete with neighboring clubs for members, it is in the best interests all clubs to work together to grow the game of golf.  After all a larger golfing community will result in benefits to all clubs.

Round two 2026 was hosted by Yallourn Golf Club who presented the course in excellent condition and provided the usual friendly hospitality.  The event was proceeded by a successful meeting of the presidents, Golf Australia representative Matt Royal and GWG team members.  This will now be an ongoing part of the event.

The Churchill-Monash Team: Greg Beyer, Jay Balding, Colin Thompson, Dale Burridge (was absent).

Round two was very close with Moe and Churchill-Monash equal on 102 and were only separated on a count back using the fourth player’s score.  Congratulations to Rob Harley and Kaye Middlemiss who were the highest scores for the men and women respectively and Congratulations to Churchill-Monash for their team win.

This sets up a very exciting final round which will be played at Morwell on Saturday 10 October with only a few points separating the top 4 teams.
